Our Coastal Maine bed and breakfast inn consists of four lodging accommodations in the Main House and three guest suites in the adjacent Cottage. Every room and suite has a full view of the water, a private bath, individually controlled heat and air conditioning, and either a king- or queen-sized bed (one suite in the cottage can be set up in a twin-bed configuration). All rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, ironing board and iron. All suites have a fireplace and comfortable sitting area; those in the Cottage have a private deck. Georgetown Suite has a spa tub. The entire Cottage building can be rented as a self-contained unit and can accommodate 6 to 8 guests — ideal for a family or friends getaway!
Original art work, much from area artists, can be found throughout the inn, which is furnished in a style reminiscent of Maine seaside cottages in the early years of the last century. There is high-speed Internet access through our wireless network in all guest rooms. In keeping with our effort to maintain a peaceful and relaxing environment for our guests, televisions are available only in the common areas, away from guest accommodations.
Bed and bath linens are of the highest standard, with bed linens from Cuddledown of Maine and plush imported bath linens by the Turkish Towel Company. Toiletries are from the Gilchrist & Soames Spa Collection.
The gardens, terrace, and porches at Coveside Bed & Breakfast offer a place to relax and enjoy the sea air. Both the guest house and cottage are surrounded by extensive gardens and lawn down to our dock and the shore of Gotts Cove. The casual gardens, perennial beds, stone and shingled walls, and trellises provide a colorful counterpoint to the sea views in all seasons.
