Coveside Bed & Breakfast offers two types of waterfront lodging for your mid-coast Maine vacation getaway in Georgetown: traditional B&B-style guest rooms in our Main House and our adjacent Cottage, which is reminiscent of turn-of-the-century seaside summer cottages. Cottage accommodations may be booked individually or as a whole for families or groups.
Our Waterfront Accommodations
The Main House has four guest rooms โ three upstairs and one on the ground floor โ a comfortable guest living room with fireplace, and our sunny breakfast room and open kitchen. The dining room opens onto a spacious terrace, where we serve breakfast in warm weather. The main house also includes the innkeepersโ quarters in a separate wing from guest accommodations. The original structure, a shingled fishermanโs cottage, is more than 100 years old. But it was modified and enlarged over the years, and was completely renovated for use as a B&B in 1998.
The Cottage sits in an intimate garden courtyard, steps from the main house. Constructed entirely of pine, featuring shiplap walls throughout, it was designed to recreate the atmosphere of summer seaside cottages in the early 1900s. The three spacious guest accommodations are bright and airy, each with a private deck overlooking the water, and a comfortable sitting area with gas fireplace. There is also a common room with rattan furniture and a game table, and a screened porch with comfortable rockers for use of all our guests. While the accommodations in the cottage rent as separate units, the cottage is regularly booked in its entirety by groups of family or friends.
