The spacious air-conditioned apartment has two bedrooms, two full baths, living room, fully equipped kitchen, separate dining room, and a screened porch with lounge chairs and table for al fresco dining. Views from the living room, porch, and master bedroom are toward the Gulf (with a “peek-a-view” of the water); the dining room and second bedroom overlook a picturesque canal and golf course.

Sanibel Island is a 13-mile-long sandy key in Pine Island Sound. Just three miles across at its widest point, it is joined to the mainland by a causeway south of the City of Ft. Myers. Sanibel’s sugar sand beaches are perfect for sun bathing and swimming, and are renowned for the seashells that appear with each morning’s tide. The island is also famous for wildlife that abounds in the nature preserves that occupy almost two-thirds of the island, and for an old-Florida-style tranquility that sets it apart from the commercialized beach resorts on the Florida coast.
 First and foremost, Sanibel is a place to relax: on the beach; pedaling on its extensive networks of bike paths; at one of the many restaurants and cafes that dot the island; viewing the extraordinary bird life at the Ding Darling National Wildlife Sanctuary from a car, bike, or kayak; taking in a game of tennis or golf; fishing from a pier or charter boat, or just “hanging out” on the porch with a good book.
