Extraordinary Breakfasts

Emphasizing the freshest ingredients and local produce, breakfast is a major event at our Maine Coast bed and breakfast. Prior to the purchase of our B&B, Carolyn owned a pastry business in upstate New York, preparing elegant desserts for high-end restaurants in the Albany area. She trained at the Cordon Bleu in London and with noted pastry chefs in the United States, and brings her years of experience to Coveside’s breakfast table. Every plate is individually prepared and served, and guests are assured of receiving a different menu every morning of their stay.  We make our own jams, fruit syrup, and most of our own breads. Fresh ingredients — meats, crab and lobster, dairy products and cheese, fruits and vegetables — are obtained from local Maine producers, most of whom are certified organic. If we have some notice, we can accommodate most dietary restrictions of our guests. Home-made cookies, coffee and tea, and complementary beer and soft drinks are available to guests throughout the day and evening.
